On 21 April 2021, after nearly two months of algorithm development, hardware testing and dispatch commissioning, Xiaopeng Technology’s reflector-guided AGV localisation, vehicle control and traffic-management software was successfully applied in a machining-factory project.
The milestone established combined software and hardware development capability for reflector-guided AGVs, with the aim of reducing project costs. Reflector-free SLAM technology was being developed in parallel, with engineering refinement and volume production as the next objectives.
